HOLY COW - I got some crafting done this month!
June 29th, 2009
Bunny Hill Designs/Anne Sutton’s uber darling “A Tisket, A Tasket” blocks of the month for May and June. MAY and JUNE! I’m late AGAIN to the party. I’m somewhat prepared for the delights Anne gift’s us each month, but I don’t really know what Swell/Sweet fabrics I’m going to use until I see the block. A part of me imagines myself in a beret and looking at the block pattern through my thumbs and index fingers, glass of wine near-by. But that would be way too pretentious. So I opt for just the wine.
My lighting is sucky and makes the Moda Dotty butter yellow look like some funky seafood chowder yellow. You’ll just have to trust me, IRL the colors are FANTASTIC.
Each of my months with more info… January, February, March, April and May & June.

Wow! Your blocks are wonderful and I love all of the combinations of fabric you used in each block. The yellow is awesome and this is going to be one spectacular quilt when it’s done.

June 29th, 2009wow - those are incredible. I don’t have the foggiest idea how to do what you did. Where did you learn that (and please don’t say you just figured it out). I really love the way they pop. It is just amazing! It gives your work that extra oomph!

June 29th, 2009Holy Cow is right! There’s some serious hyperventilation going on over way back here — those blocks are fantastic! They’re my very favoriteist (that’s a word if I say so!) blocks ANYwhere in blogland. As always, you’re #1!!!!
June 29th, 2009Too stinkin’ cute for words!
June 29th, 2009Aw! There just so sweet! I’m late to the party myself. May’s done, but I have yet to start on June’s. Can’t rush right into these things you know, they have to simmer a little…
June 29th, 2009That yellow dotty background always makes me second guess the fact that I have a different background on each block. Putting my quilt together will be … interesting. Putting yours together is clearly going to be a rip-roaring good time!
June 29th, 2009How gorgeous the blocks are. I especially love your touch for embelishment.
June 29th, 2009They’re gorgeous!!! Dang it, why didn’t I stick some of those blocks in my purse… By the way, we took off PP’s purple jumpsuit and can’t get it back on, it’s so tight I can’t see how they got it on in the first place!! She was quite indecent until Pricilla lent her an outfit. I guess I just need to make her a new wardrobe! xx
June 29th, 2009Your blocks are really pretty! I love the color and print combinations!
June 29th, 2009This is going to be one beautiful quilt. You are doing an awesome job and the colors look great on my computer. I can’t wait to see it finished!
June 29th, 2009Hey, I’m late to the party too! :) I haven’t started May and June? What the….It’s already almost July. I’ve got to get my sewing room set up TODAY! :)
Your blocks are adorable, as usual. I’m pretty sure even if you made something you thought was ugly, we’d all swoon over it! :) Those colors are so super cute.
June 30th, 2009I love your fabric choices for these blocks, Monica. The quilt is going to be so bright and cheery. Thanks for sharing the photos with us.

June 30th, 2009sob.
Why don’t I have tons of sweet leftover so I can make this?
They are adorable! I love them.
June 30th, 2009You are right the lighting doesn’t show the beautiful buttery feel of the fabric. But let me tell you I wasn’t looking at the background color until you said something. If I was a screamer I’d be screaming like that lady on so you think you can dance Mary Murphy and telling you that your block is on the whatever train she screams. Incredibly beautiful.
June 30th, 2009Your blocks are absolutley great! You are a master…
June 30th, 2009Those blocks are to die for Monica. Great job. I cant wait to see that quilt finished.
June 30th, 2009Total cuteness!

July 1st, 2009Thank you for sharing your lovely baskets! You have inspired me to try applique again.
The way you used felt, rick-rack and little flowers all combine to make very pretty and very imaginative baskets.
Someplace in my stash are the perfect fabrics for these blocks. Now if only I could find them….
July 1st, 2009I love the baskets! I’ve been saving the patterns and thus far have not started with Block One! I’m terribly late for the party! One day …I will start these adorable blocks!
July 1st, 2009Pea soup flashbacks !!!!!!! I’m having pea soup flashbacks !!!!! I was forced to eat an entire bowl of pea soup that color by a nun in the cafeteria of a St. Peter and Paul’s school when I was in first grade ……
Anyhow ….. your quilt blocks are UNBEARABLY CUTE !!!!(when I envision them in their natural un- pea soup color)
