Buddies

My dog is a kitty bed - my cat is a doggie pillow.
A few months ago our younger Golden, Madison, passed. Both Liberty (our older Golden) and York (our cat who thinks he’s a dog) were inseparable and snugly with Madison. I think they’ve been sad and missing Madison, especially Libby. And then today Libby and York “discovered” each other (previous pic), and tonight they sealed the buddy deal.
This makes me so incredibly happy and comforted, and it’s such a beautiful thing to witness that I just had to share. I’m convinced pets are just really, really hairy miniature people.

February 11th, 2014I have the exact combo - the aging golden and the black cat - together almost 8 years and only just this year beginning to sit on same bed. No cuddling yet. This gives me hope!

February 11th, 2014Ha! We were talking tonight about how other animals view us. My son said cats just think of us as another kind of weird cat. (Of it’s all about them!) We have 4 cats (unintented I swear) and 2 dogs. I think the dogs know they’re dogs. But I know at least one or two of those cats think they are human. One will even sit on a chair during meals like he is expecting to be served! Sorry about the loss of your little pooch…they are so precious. Glad to see the other guys smuggling up together.
