Convinced
March 15th, 2013
Dear Japan,
I’m convinced I will eat anything if it’s in cute packaging. Even bland rice crackers for babies that look like tiny mini-pads. Thank you for making life magical and cute.
Love,
me

Hehehe… they are really cute, and they DO look like mini pads. This reminds me of a pool raft that Sam’s used to sell. It looked EXACTLY like a maxi pad. Same shape, same color, same quilted pattern, only about 100X the size. Sam’s had hung one from the rafters and my husband couldn’t figure out why I would break into fits of giggling whenever I saw it.
March 15th, 2013Thanks for the late afternoon chuckle. Enjoy eating your super absorbent snack!
March 15th, 2013Lol. Thanks for making me laugh.

March 15th, 2013Ha, ha! I do the exact same thing. My sweetie just bought me a bag of Jelly Beans and I DESPISE jelly beans but they’re in a cute Hello Kitty package so I will most definitely eat them! Enjoy your baby size pads!
March 15th, 2013is bloglovin the new Google reader?
March 15th, 2013I think you and I could so serious damage if we shopped a Japanese store together!
Sayonara!
I’m with you Monica - put anything in cute Japanese packaging and I’ll buy it!
Recently bought a craft book at Kinoyoshi - can’t read it because it’s all in Japanese, but the pictures are cute.
March 16th, 2013i agree monica…i love cute packaging.
March 16th, 2013in my next life i wanna start a packaging design firm…you wanna be my partner?
Thanks for making me laugh!
March 16th, 2013LOL - you know what would make them even cuter…if they were apple core shaped…then they really would look like panty liners!
You are thinking about it aren’t you…yep the apple core quilt will never look the same…..sorry about that! :)
March 17th, 2013You are so funny. And yes it does look like a mini pad. But their packaging is very appealing and worthy of inspiring a quilt top.
March 17th, 2013You are very funny and yes they do look like mini pads….
March 18th, 2013we NEED some real cuteness in these trying times!
March 18th, 2013I’ve always wondered why Japanese people put smiley faces on EVERYTHING…but I guess it doesn’t really matter..I’m just glad they do. :)
March 19th, 2013Dear Monica,
Thanks to you I went to my first ever Daiso store in Fremont. I giggled like a little schoolgirl over all the cuteness. And I almost bought a toilet brush because the packaging was so dang cute, even though I think toilet brushes are the devil’s way of spreading germs (one of many).
I appreciate your advice. And when I move close to it, I will constantly think of you as I scream “Danger Will Robinson” every time I walk in the door.
March 19th, 2013you just made my day
March 19th, 2013OH WOW, they do look like pads!! hahaha!!
March 21st, 2013GIRL - I CANNOT believe no one has said it….these look more like tampons to me!!!!! I seriously did a triple take when saw this post….tampons, panty liners, cute baby on the package….what the hell are these things? Never in a million years would I have guessed rice crackers.
March 26th, 2013I’m so there about how cute Japanese stuff is. My daughter and I love all things Rilakkuma. I collect kokeshis. Too cute!
April 2nd, 2013Oh my goodness. I had to look at that picture several times! I never would have guessed it was something to eat. Thank you for the giggle today.
