I love Sew,Mama,Sew’s Giveaway Day! LOVE it. I love giving a giveaway goodie and I love going to all the giveaways. In the years past, I’ve met and made some really good friends through SMSGD. Not to mention discovering a bunch of great new blogs. Sometimes the best gifts are hiding behind other gifts (it’s how I discovered my friend Krista) - so be sure and go back to all the sites you fell in love with that you discovered through Sew, Mama, Sew’s Giveaway Day!
I’m giving away a 3″ jelly roll of my Happy Mochi Yum Yum fabric (29 fabrics in all). Leave a comment - maybe you’d like to comment on what your favorite sweet treat is at the moment or what you’re craving? I’m CRAVING my late Omi’s tapioca pudding - and eating it with her in her kitchen in Germany. Right before dinner. She was that cool - dessert before dinner!

There’s just something about the way the marshmellows and peppermints blend together that makes it AMAZING! And if we are going for nonsweet treats I would really like some of her cresent rolls right about now. December 12th, 2011My favourite sweet treat at the moment is Cremola foam. It is a sweet powdered drink my grandmother always used to have for us. They stopped making it years ago but my fantastic husband found a small firm that have started making it again and bought me some. The smell of it transported me back 25 years to my grandparents kitchen and even though it is incredibly sweet I’ve been drinking it almost daily since it arrived!

December 12th, 2011Well, I WAS craving a new cookie recipe I found called ‘White Chocolate Gingerbread Cookies’. I mixed the recipe up a few hours ago and am not sure about this recipe but stuck them into the fridge to see if getting it cold will help. They look like someone forgot to add the liquid to the recipe so I’m not sure they’ll hold together to bake.
The one thing though I will be making later is my favorite and I only make them once a year. That’s my Rosette cookies. I LOVE those and may just have them for supper. LOL

Oh, I love all the Christmas goodies! I made what I call “Faux Turtles” and love them! You take a mini pretzel and place on parchment paper that is on a cookie sheet. Then top with an “unwrapped” rolo candy. Bake at 350* for 3-5 min. Then take out of oven and place a half pecan on top and squish slightly. Cool thoroughly and store in airtight container. I keep mine in the refrigerator.

I’m craving fudge. My mom always used evaporated milk & I’m lactose intolerant so I thought I couldn’t have it anymore, but turns out lots of old-fashioned recipes use real milk, so this year I’m going to try to make some using lactose-free milk. Hopefully it’ll turn out well!

I really like this fabric line of yours. The name is just great actually I mentioned it at work to someone who knows nothing about fabric but they thought it was so cute he made up a little tune and damce to go with the name and was dancing around work for a few days to “Happy Mochi Yum Yum” to top it off we work night shift at a nursing home and the residents thouoght it was great it gave alot of them big smiles!
