My new toy + give-away!
November 27th, 2011
It’s like someone crawled into my head - and designed a product just for me! I must have been sending signals out to the universe - and Panasonic must have had their aluminum foil hats on. Or it was Santa… and he came early (and misplaced his alleged Naughty List).
This is not an infomercial - this is a review and big fat thank you to Panasonic for making the Panasonic 360° Freestyle Iron Happy Zombie Cordless Dream Iron!
How could I not love the shiny and slick sole-plate with generous steam holes and crazy shape that reminds me of Stewie Griffin’s head. The Panasonic 360° Freestyle Stewie 360° feels awesome in my hand and has such a sweet glide in all directions. The 10 minute auto shut-off is perfect for me, too, because color me neglectful.
The gravy on top of this iron’s boat of gravy is it’s carrying case. I love it SO MUCH I want to hug it (full disclosure… I kinda hugged it a little). Snap off. Snap on. Bam. Easy as pie. I’m an on-the-go sewer and am always lugging my sewing gear to friends houses, Sweet Hot Yam sewing circles, retreats and Portland Modern Quilt Guild sewing days. My thorn has always been packing my pesky iron, especially at go-home time. Not any more! And I love that in limited sewing spaces - I have a spot to put my iron that’s not on my mini travel ironing board. Cue choir.
I’m so in love with this iron, that I asked some super amazing awesome people if they’d be interested in providing one of these baby’s for a give-away on my blog. And they said yes! Iron name change request to The Happy Zombie Cordless Dream Stewie 360°… not so much. Leave a comment and I’ll draw a name from Random.org for a winner on Thursday, Dec 1st at noon-ish (PST), and Panasonic will send the winner the iron. If you like - share who your favorite cartoon was from childhood. Mine was Scooby Doo (and still is). Though I do love me some Family Guy!
December 1, 2011 Edited in:
Winner, winner! The Panasonic 360° Freestyle Iron give-away has now ended. Thank you all for joining in on the give-away! Using random.org for comments 1-805, the winner of the “Happy Zombie Cordless Dream Stewie 360°” is: #36 - Mary Anne!

November 28th, 2011Haha, the Smurfs is always the one that comes to mind, but I wasn’t really allowed to watch TV as a kid, so all my cartoon watching was snuck in at various locations. I loved Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but was horribly embarrassed because I thought it was a “boy” show and when I was caught watching them, I thought I was in trouble for the content, not for sneeking around to watch TV. My parents thought it was hilarious and as a result, relaxed their restrictions a bit. Now I watch whatever I want while I quilt!

November 28th, 2011My favorit cartoon was she-ra! Thanks for the chance to win!
November 28th, 2011Oh my gosh! That is a beautiful iron.
November 28th, 2011I must be older than most of you. My favorite cartoons were the Harvey Toons.
Little Audrey, Baby Huey, Heckle and Jeckle.
Also loved Quick Draw McGraw, Pixie and Dixie and a lot more. Saturday mornings were the best!
Everyone have a great week!
I’m so jealous of your awesome new toy! But thanks for sharing your thoughts about it. Now I have something else to add to my wish list! Haha.
November 28th, 2011I love cordless irons, my last one bit it a while ago and I would love to get a new one. And a carrying case, get out of town.
November 28th, 2011You had me at cordless.
November 28th, 2011Holy flying saucers of steam, Batman! (that’s what’s known in the business as a two-fer, baby!)
November 28th, 2011When I was really young, I would get up super early on Saturday mornings to watch Casper the Friendly Ghost. This iron looks amazing!
November 28th, 2011I’m not sure if this is open internationally… but I loved Wacky Races!
November 28th, 2011That is the most awesome looking iron I have ever seen! It is a perfect mix of futuristic and retro all in one.
My favorite cartoon was Rainbow Brite. I am tickled that all the 80’s toons I grew up with are coming back now.
November 28th, 2011Oooh, I’d love to win that. My iron is so lame. I used to watch Saturday morning cartoons, Looney Toons, Rainbow Bright, Strawberry Shortcake, Rose Petal Place… And She-ra. :) Looney Toons was probably my favorite though.
November 28th, 2011Whoa. I was unaware irons like that existed!
Fave cartoon from childhood? Hmmmm. Either Unico or Herself the Elf.
November 28th, 2011My iron just broke! Hmm, kismet? Thanks for the giveaway! Sounds like an awesome iron.
November 28th, 2011What a great give away. I need a new iron as the dial broke on mine so I can’t set the temp correctly. Thanks for the chance to win. My favorite cartoon..Bugs Bunny, Elmer Fudd, the Roadrunner.
November 28th, 2011When I was little, we didn’t really watch cartoons. I thought that “Cartoons” was just another word for “Bugs Bunny.”
November 28th, 2011You’ve gotten me a little obsessed with this iron. I won’t lie - it’s a little ugly. But it looks like it works great.
November 28th, 2011wow, that looks awesome! I SO need a new iron. Mine has fallen from the board so many time it leaks……:(
November 28th, 2011I need this iron! My last one (a VERY old, very cheap walmart iron that worked better than any iron ever) crapped out, then I replaced and promptly ran over the cord of my new iron with my sewing chair, which apparently has razors for wheels. Then I replaced THAT iron, and I swear this one only gets half hot. Unless it’s touching my skin, then it’s super hot. (Maybe I should have bought that Rowenta that was on sale at Joann last weekend…..)
November 28th, 2011Wow!
Cordless?!?
I’d love one!
November 28th, 2011What an awesome looking iron! I would love to try one of those out. :)
Mary
November 28th, 2011I wasn’t so much into cartoons as I was the comics. My favorite was and always will be Mother Goose. Grimm always cracked me up with his antics and facial expressions! thanks so much for the giveaway, Stewie360 is an awesome iron!
November 28th, 2011Wow, Monica - what a great gift!!
I’d love to have this iron and promise to rename it The Happy Zombie 360o Iron. Seriously.
My iron spits at me all the time and leaks water and leaves spots on my fabric and takes way too long to heat up. I really would like a friendly iron that really irons for a change. Thank you.
November 28th, 2011(What an amazing number of entries!?!?!?)
Hey…I just *loved* The Beatles…so their cartoon show did it for me! Especially the singalong. ;-) What a cool looking iron!
November 28th, 2011Looks fabulous, a must have!
November 28th, 2011I would love to have a cordless iron. I find the cord on mine a little annoying, even though it is long enough. The case looks great too. Thanks for the giveaway. I loved the Roadrunner cartoons.
November 28th, 2011This looks amazing - thank you for the opportunity to try and win one.
November 28th, 2011I loved the smurfs. When our parents actually let us watch cartoons, since we only had one TV in the house, and they were in charge of it. And if I won this iron, it would make my best friend insanely jealous. She is the queen of ironing.
November 28th, 2011Ha! What cartoon didn’t I like? I think I’ll go with Rocky and Bullwinkle. Although I look at that cartoon now and wonder what I was thinking.
November 28th, 2011I too am questing for the perfect iron!
November 28th, 2011My favorite cartoon-The Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote! Beep-Beep
Oooh I so need this! Cordless AND has a carrying case? Yes please!
November 28th, 2011My favorite cartoon was Thundercats!
That iron looks amazing!!
November 28th, 2011So my favorite cartoon as a kid… I guess I would say Rainbow Brite, I bought the DVDs and watch them with my daughter now!
My favorite cartoons were with Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Yosemite Sam, Elmer Fudd and of course Wyle E. Coyote and the Roadrunner of course.
November 28th, 2011Great giveaway! Please count me in! My favorite cartoon was The Flintstones!
November 28th, 2011This looks like a great iron! Mine is awful, and I’ve been meaning to upgrade. Perhaps you could help me with that…. Favorite cartoon? Ducktales. I still periodically watch an episode or two on DVD.
November 28th, 2011I love the shape of the iron! Looks like it holds a bunch of water too….
November 28th, 2011I loved cartoons and recall the “beanie and cecil” was a favorite.
I love the iron and totally need a new one. Favorite cartoon has to be the classic Warner Brothers Looney Tunes.
November 28th, 2011Neato! I had two favorite cartoons: the Peanuts (I got to interview Charles Schultz for a report in 3rd grade because he was my friend’s neighbor!) and Kimba, which was on TV right after Speedracer (which I hated!)
November 28th, 2011What a great idea for the shape! And the carrying case! My iron is not behaving well- spits water and doesn’t steam properly- this is good timing. Pick me Pick me! Thank you for arranging this give-away.
November 28th, 2011What a cutie! Put me in the drawing. My favorite cartoon was (is) Spiderman.
November 28th, 2011Would I ever like to get my hands on a Stewie 360! How nice of you to ask for one to giveaway.
November 28th, 2011Firstly, I hope when you hugged the iron, it was off!!
Secondly, I would totally benefit from this iron. My poor ironing board has to be set up in the middle of the room, and therefore very far away from the wall just because of how my sewing room is currently set up. With 2 kids that like to come into my sewing room plus a dog, it’s quite dangerous in there when I’m sewing and ironing. This iron will prevent kidlets from tripping on the cord and having a hot iron falling on them!
My current iron is a panasonic brand one.. and they make good irons I think!
November 28th, 2011What a great iron! I have always been a Peanuts fan myself. :)
November 28th, 2011I love it!!! I want it. My favorite cartoon was Eek the Cat, another good one is Making Fiends.
November 28th, 2011My favorite cartoon was The Jetsons :) LOVE that iron!!!
November 28th, 2011That is great! It’s going on my Christmas wish list. Hope Santa comes early :)
November 28th, 2011Here I come to save the day! - Mighty Mouse.
November 28th, 2011love this iron … reasonable shut-off time, not like mine with … uh, 10 seconds, it seems …. want this, please … LOL …. donald duck ….
November 28th, 2011I don’t really remember, but the jetsons are certainly up there.
November 28th, 2011OH MY, it’s a Jetson’s iron!!! LOVE this and you for snagging an extra one for giveaway. Like, that’s a totally smokin’ iron Scooby! Don’t ask me why, because Fred is a total ass, but I liked the Flintstones. Maybe that’s why I became a geologist. All that rock.
November 28th, 2011What a cool iron. I could really use a new one, both of mine are ancient models with below average performance. Did a double take at that second photo as I figured it MUST be an illusion.
My favorite cartoon was the Jetson’s.
November 28th, 2011WOW, what a GREAT iron and that was awesome of them to let you do a giveaway! I would LOVE an iron like this! Very nice!
November 28th, 2011i sure need a new iron. i bought a little travel one that disappeared in my last move, so my mom gave me her old one… that was 5 years ago, and i think that iron is older than me… as is most of my parents’ stuff. that 10 minute shutoff seems like a good thing… i’ve been known to leave my iron on overnight… well, not “known”, i made sure my husband didn’t find out!!!
my favorite cartoon character right now is tinkerbell… in the movies that have come out in the last few years tink finds out that she’s a tinker fairy which are basically the engineers of the fairy world… after 6 years of school and 5 years of working I finally became a professional engineer and to commemorate this I got a tinkerbell tattoo on my right arm… the arm i use to tinker!
November 28th, 2011I hope MY random number comes up because I really, really need a new iron. I really, really WANT this one.
November 28th, 2011Thanks for a chance to win. Favorite cartoon…the jetsons!
November 28th, 2011Wow! Such a great give away! I loved the Simpsons when I was younger, I don’t really keep track of those episodes anymore …
November 28th, 2011My best-loved iron died years ago, and despite Husband’s best efforts at finding a just as good new one, they’re all pretenders. Oh, and Josie and the Pussycats. Remember them?
November 28th, 2011Very cool iron - thanks for the chance! My favorite cartoon character was Daphne from Scooby Doo! I loved (and still do) her purple and orange outfit!
November 28th, 2011Cool iron! I’ve never had a case for an iron before!
November 28th, 2011a two way pressing pointy thing! how cool is that?
November 28th, 2011Your blog makes me smile - enjoy your holidays. The iron looks like something from the “Jetsons” Gotta love it.
Sue
November 28th, 2011SWEET! …or should I SA-weet! What a fantastic giveaway. And, the truly truly truly outrageous Jem and the Holograms rule the favorite cartoon question.
Pick me!
November 28th, 2011Oh I am so excited that you are having this giveaway because I am in desperate need of a new iron. And this one looks fan-freaking-tastic!
When I was a kid I liked the Jetsens. But to be fair I think i only saw like 2 episodes in my entire life (we didn’t watch much tv…)
November 28th, 2011What a space-age, atomic cutie of an iron. What I wouldn’t give to have it hover over my humble ironing board. In fact, I belive that Jane Jetson (or her maid, Rosie) would have jetted right out to buy one at their local Sky-Mart!
November 28th, 2011That is one sexy toy! I get so wrapped up in my iron cord, and I’ve never seen one with points at both ends.
In my day, Jem was truly, truly, TRULY outrageous, but I also loved Eeyore.
November 28th, 2011That is a pretty awesome looking iron! Thanks for letting us know about it. Now about the cartoons, I’d have a tough time choosing between Jem and Inspector Gadget.
November 28th, 2011Wow! That is a nice iron! I am using my parents iron that they received as a wedding gift in 1979- yes it is made of metal.
November 28th, 2011I would love a new iron! Mine is wetting the ironing board and it is not that old!! I liked watching “The Flintstones” and “The Jetsons”. Thanks for a chance to win an iron! Good luck with the name change too!
November 28th, 2011what a super space age iron. if only it came with a robot that did the ironing for me…
November 28th, 2011Wow! What a great giveaway! My favorite comic was Charlie Brown, now it’s Pickles. Thanks so much for the chance!!

November 28th, 2011My favorite cartoon from childhood was the Smurfs.
I loved the road runner as a child, poor Wil. E. Coyote - everyone loves a trier. Fantastic iron, no doubt it won’t be in the UK for a while yet so this may be my only chance to get one for some time. Thank you for the opportunity to win x
November 28th, 2011Oooo, I would love a cordless iron! Especially since wrestling the cord around my 119×108 quilt this week!

November 29th, 2011Apparently Panasonic did it’s homework!
