The Artist’s Way
September 11th, 2006
So here I am, typing with my thumbs, trying to sleep after such a big day. We are at the beautiful Asilomar in Pacifc Grove. Started the day with lunch at In-n-Out Burger (mmmm), tea at the Tuck Box (not as good as it used to be) in Carmel. We get checked in and settled in at Asilomar and off to start our Artist’s Way for quilters. There are over 50 of us! So much to tell… later on a full finger keyboard!

OH, you did the Artist’s Way thing at Asilomar. I saw that advertised. I have that book and really keep meaning to get started, but the morning pages seems sort of daunting and I’ll end up doing my grocery list or something. Did you like that aspect of it?
September 16th, 2006The morning pages are not my favorite thing. Three pages take me almost half an hour to do, and that’s 30 precious minutes of my day! I know some who get up early to do it… but that’s not going to happen for me! And then there’s always that elusive shopping list too!
I did like doing one page from our workbook in class each day (plus the paper had big spaces). I made the decision to focus on my Daily Cup of Joy (which I’m getting a D- for effort). I may just continue to do one page. What the heck… I’ve already been told I had to enroll in “Remedial Artist’s Way”! Which would be fine with me if there were such a thing!
September 16th, 2006Hi There! I would love to hear more about The Artist’s Way…only recently discovered it and am very interested in it. I also love your quilt for the R&A Swap. Blessings!
