So I get a call from Andy Cohen…

October 3rd, 2010

… and he asks me for an interview on his show. And then… I wake up.  And then I’m bummed for the rest of the day.  Screw you, my crazy dreams.  BUT THEN later that morning… I get an email from Pat asking me to be a guest on her Creative Talk Network radio show!  Sigh.  All is right again in my world.  Well, besides the shocking news between Pam and Alex.

Tune in tomorrow (10/04/2010) and listen to the live stream, or downland the podcast in iTunes after the show. I’ll be on at 1:30 PST/4:30 EST, or if you set your watch to the center of the world… 2030 GMT.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to get to sleep so Jeff Lewis can come to my house to do a reno.  I hope he brings Zoila.  Maybe she’ll make me something from Pat’s blog hop The Edge Recipes pdf!

Pam seems to sweet and unassuming who knew she could go to such lengths…

Stop it with all the reasons to visit Oregon.. Fish and chips my family’s favorite.

    Your interview should be great!
Brilliant. I was wondering how I was going to go back and grab those recipes! I really did like the looks of them. Thanks!

Oh Monica - it has to be WAY better to be interviewed by Pat Sloan than Andy Cohen. He’s so wrapped up in his own world, he wouldn’t know the first thing about quilting. Besides, he’d be looking for a red carpet or a runway or a runaway housewife from Looneytown and forget to talk to you as he preened in the camera.

No Dear Quilting Lady - you’re far, far better off talking with a nice lady like Pat Sloan.

    Just my two cents…

Well, I want to be sorry for you but I have no idea who Andy Cohen is. However, I do know who Pat is (and who Jeff is)! How fun.

  16. The fabulous Sarah allegedly said:

In my dream I’d be on Andy’s show with Caroline Manzo and Jeff Lewis. We’d drink Mojito’s served to us by Brad, Rachael Zoe’s assistant. Then we’d head over to one of Tom Collichio’s restaurants for a post-show party with Kelly Ripa where she’d invite me to borrow anything in her closet (I’m really skinny in my dream).

So I must not be the only one who stays up late watching Bravo! That network makes a serious dent in my late night sewing… I’ll check you out on the radio!

  18. The fabulous Cathy A allegedly said:

I’m glad I can download it from itunes! It’s always tricky to listen to something that’s not music during the middle of a day with a toddler around.

  19. The fabulous Sarah P allegedly said:

Once I dreamt I had to take Jeff Lewis and crew some glasses of water on a tray, and I spilled it. And I knew that there was no way I could work for him if I spilled water. I would never be trusted with the martinis.

  20. The fabulous Leslie Schmidt allegedly said:

This is one episode I have to hear! But you are over my head when it comes to those Bravo shows. Not my speed (slow.)

  21. The fabulous Cherri House allegedly said:

Oh my gosh Monica & Pat together, I cannot wait! Are you nervous? I was, when she interviewed me…I kept tripping over my own words…impossible to believe, right???

Love you Monica & Pat…have fun!

PS Please send Jeff Lewis, Zoila, and that adorable Trace to my house, when they are finished at your place :-)

  22. The fabulous Cindy allegedly said:

See, I think you should give her a live interview. She’s my neighbor up there in Fairfax. :) Have fun. I will be listening! :)

  23. The fabulous Robyn of Coffee & Cotton allegedly said:

I will be tuning in… I think it is on @ 4pm ET. CUTE radio graphic!

  24. The fabulous nanette allegedly said:

I love “watch what happens” with Andy. I’m a Bravo TV lover, too. Jeff kills me and so do the housewives. I like to DVR those shows to watch while I sew. You’d be so funny to watch Andy interview you.

  25. The fabulous Pat Sloan allegedly said:

LOL… so much SHOCKING news on the tube… err… screen… err.. airwaves!!!

    Chat soon baby!

  26. The fabulous Diane allegedly said:

Just heard you on Pat Sloan’s Creative Talk Show - you were great!! How nice to finally hear your voice - you sounded so “Happy” and friendly!

Pat’s questions were great and she really brought back some good memories for you. Sounded like a wonderful time at that event after Quilt Mart. Glad you were being treated like a princess!

Looking forward to seeing your new adventures (in the magazines that you didn’t mention ;-} ).

  27. The fabulous Sandi allegedly said:

Really enjoyed listening to your interview. Might your grandmother have been doing Hardanger? That’s handwork done on Aida cloth and threads are pulled/removed. It doesn’t sound like tatting as that’s done with a shuttel. My grandma did tatting and my aunt did beautiful Hardanger. I love that washing machine as it reminds me of the kitchen appliances that were in my mother-in-laws house. Built in 1955 it must have been awesome. When I met my husband in 1968 and he took me to meet his parents, I could not believe the turgoise blue appliances. It was her favorite color and also used in the bags and store colors for her women’s dress shoppe. I wonder what became of those appliances. Someone would surely covet them today!

  28. The fabulous SuzK allegedly said:

You should have given a “don’t eat or drink while watching this video” warning!

  29. The fabulous Mary Anne Drury allegedly said:

Well, as usual, I’m always late to the party … so I JUST this minute finished listening to you and Pat on her radio show …… FABULOUS DAHHHHLINK … simply FABULOUS!!!!

I’m a reality TV junky. Project Runway is my top show.

Farting around with needle & thread and then blogging about it.
