White Christmas trees are like bunnies

It all started with the little one for my studio.
And then the medium one for the kitchen.
And FINALLY came the big one from Santa Kohl’s.
It was a week long event. It took only minutes to put the baby tree up. But the big tree… that was a week long chaotic, messy event.
My white Christmas trees are multiplying like little white bunnies. I think I even saw one of the trees smoking a cigarette.
The absolute best part of my my week long decoratingpalooza - was putting all the storage boxes and all the decordoohickies away. I can’t stand anything on my table other than meals and table-bling - so when all the decorating by-product came off the table and the floors - and went back into the garage…. THAT is when sighed and oohed and took a deep relaxing “it’s Christmas!” breath.
Next year’s Christmas… I’m starting next month.

Thank you for the tree-skirt lovin’! Actually, it’s more like tree-pants. It’s just a bunch of basic 9-patch stars set into a big square (I’ll try to make a pattern for it, but it’s really basic). The hardest thing about making this was cutting into the quilt to make the “legs”. Also hard to take pics, as someone kept trying to get in the shot.

Beautiful! My favorite Christmas thing is my vintage 1950’s white artificial tree. It won’t go up this year. New puppy. We just put up an aluminum tree on the big bay window sill - out of puppy reach. Merry Christmas.

Love your bunny trees (and the cute “someone” getting in on all the shots). I never thought I’d like white trees but yours look SO amazing I’m thinking I might need a baby one for my house. If yours have any more offspring, let me know, I’ll adopt one! :)

I have a Kohls a hop, skip, and a jump from my house across the way and never go in because I hate their shopping carts. Didn’t you order that online, I seem to remember? I just love your place. December 12th, 2009The tree skirt is so great! Could you make it without ever stitching together the leg parts? So that you wouldn’t have to cut it? I’m probably missing something vital–I can never figure anything out until I do it wrong 3 times first.

My aunt had a kitchen with two brick walls–yours is the first I’ve seen since I was a pup. Brought back memories of making fudge with the cousins! Although our fudge often became what we called “Dog Kibble Fudge” due to overcooking. It still tasted fine to us.

December 12th, 2009Really Ms. Zombie — do tell us you don’t allow smoking in the house — white tree or not! They’re looking hot though, I must say. When we were little, my mom used to get flocked trees and decorated them all pink — she doesn’t remember that, but I still have some of the ornaments!

December 12th, 2009I’ve always wanted a white tree - I think the ornaments really stand out on them. We purchased a new tree last year - I was out-voted 3 to 1 - green won! At least I managed to snag a very small white feather tree, just for me. Your trees are beautiful!

December 13th, 2009I LOVE all the trees! I wish I had my own sewing room, because I would have one in there all decked out for sure. I’d also love a kitchen tree someday (when I move into a new place with a bigger kitchen and space to actually put it somewhere.
Love the tree pants, too! Nice touch. :)
I also don’t like all the packaging jazz that gets left behind when the decorating’s done. It feels more like a giant mess than a festive decorated space while all the boxes are still around. :P

I’m the complete opposite, my tree is BLACK! MWAHAHAHAHAR! Spent an houtr tonight untangling lights, putting them on the tree just so, rearranging, adjusting, turned on the switch and… nothing! I would be very surprised if you didn’t hear my she-wolf howl of anger/frustration/back ache all the way across that ocean! Dad to the rescue though - am nicking his (tested) lights tomorrow.

Sigh……(that’s my wistful, envious sigh) ….everything looks SO pretty!!! AND finished AND the storage boxes and “decordoohickies” are all put away !!!! WOW !!! I still have a half decorated tree with half empty storage boxes all over the living room ….. I figure if I just leave it all the way it is, then after Christmas instead of being half finished decorating, I’ll be half finished undecorating ….Ta Da !!!
December 14th, 2009I would never in a million years buy a white tree…it so says RETRO ’50s to me, but seeing your all your’s all lit up from inside makes me want TEN OF THEM!!!!!!!!! BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!

December 14th, 2009Your white trees are beautiful! What a magical feel! I have one more of those nasty containers left sitting in my foyer. Mostly table adornments and I’m still using tables to wrap and store! Then I can empty it and tuck it away and I’ll be able to do my owwwws and ahhhhs :)
