It’s all fun and games… until someone gets hurt

May 15th, 2009

And I hope I haven’t hurt Al Roker’s feelings. I just couldn’t resist. Thanks to the long flight layover Pam and Elizabeth had in Dallas on the way to market… E sent me a funny pic she p-chopped on her iPhone. Naturally I had to have THAT APP! So Al Roker… because you were handy… you became my first victim. Nothing personal, I really think you’re swell - and an entertaining and nice guy. And like you’re really even reading my blog.
Al Roker - My first victim...
My shelf-o-joy… some new changes:
- Our Lady of Rokelupe
- Al’s Big Boy
- Hello Al sewing machine

Miss Kitty… you may be next!

========
EDITED IN:
I need PKMdotMSNBC or EssEffBunnyHillChronicle to do a newsflash for this update…
a tweet treat from Al Roker

More fun… and no celeb feelings to hurt either. My sweetest of sweetie-pie friend Raesha had this post on her blog, and I thought it looked like fun. If you’re still reading this far into my post - consider yourself tagged. And that goes for you too, Al.

“Let’s Play”
Let’s Play rules: IT’S HARDER THAN IT LOOKS! COPY, ERASE MY ANSWERS, ENTER YOURS, POST IT ON YOUR BLOG, FACEBOOK, ETC. USE THE 1ST LETTER OF YOUR LAST NAME TO ANSWER EACH OF THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS. THEY HAVE TO BE REAL PLACES, NAMES, AND THINGS. NOTHING MADE UP! TRY TO USE DIFFERENT ANSWERS IF THE PERSON IN FRONT OF YOU HAD THE SAME 1ST INITIAL.

Have Fun!!

1. What is your last name? SOLORIO
2. A 4 Letter Word? SHOPPING
3. A Boy’s Name? SAWYER (shoutout to Anna and Sarah)
4. A Girl’s name?  SARAH
5. An Occupation?  SEAMSTRESS
6. A Color?  SWELLOW (sweet butter yellow)
7. Something you wear?  SHIRT
8. A Beverage?  S’COFFEE
9. A Food?  SPAM-MUSUBI (delish)
10. Something found in the bathroom?  SHAMPOO (I behaved)
11. A place?  SANTA MONICA
12. A Reason for being late?   SLEPT TOO LONG.
13. Things you shout?   THIS IS WAY TOO EASY.   MY MOST USED “S” WORD.  YEAH, THAT ONE.

Tag.  You’re it.

Well, I have to tell you Kitty is driving me nuts now that she’s heard about yet another admirer….. she’s primping with a “Day of Beauty” right now ! I tried to tell her long distance romances hardly ever work out …. but sometimes there’s no talking to her !

You’re hysterical! Thanks for the hubby shout-out. And thanks for keeping your answers clean — that goes over much better on the compound!

Now I want an iphone for this purpose only. Al’s Big boy rules! Sawyer and I were happy to see you add his name… Hey, it’s my weekend! hehe x

poor Mimi… She’s been invaded, but one of the most annoying guys on tv. :o)

  9. The fabulous Lauri allegedly said:

Rolling, rolling, ROLLING on the floor laughing!!! It’s extra funny today because, this morning on the ‘Today’ show, someone had a picture of a much younger, much thicker haired, Matt Lauer. Then they put up a photoshopped picture of Al with a shoulder length bob-type haircut! I laughed then, but I’m really cracking up now!

Oh..my..! You have a Hello Kitty sewing machine?! That is like the most amazing thing I’ve seen today (well if there wasn’t a picture of a man I don’t know on there :P). I am totally obsessed, which is becoming unhealthy. My bf had to stop me from buying car seat covers in order to prevent my car from looking like “something vomited Hello Kitty all over it”. Anyway, totally random.

I’m Jen by the way, I’ve been following your blog for the past few months as I’ve started getting the sewing bug. So far I’ve made a dress, a sewing machine cover and a few random felt things like a cupcake, a slice of cake and many flowers :P

Maybe one day I can have a successful blog like yours :)

OK - so Mr. Squash is sitting next to me - a Spam lover at heart - and I say “what the heck is Spam-Musubi? Right off the bat he says its some sort of dish made in Hawaii with noodles and Spam. I laugh and say no - and we google it - and sure enough! I ask him how could he possibly know this - and he says all Polish people are part Japanese - didn’t I know that??? ROFLMAO!!!!!
PS. Check out my blog on Tues - tomorrow!

  12. The fabulous Nanette allegedly said:

Forgive me for not playing but I still have a weeks long headache. However, reading your blog makes me laugh and isn’t that the best medicine! The Al Roker stuff is a crack up. I want to be there in your stuff and kick Al the heck out!

That is absolutely hilarious about Al Roker and that he twittered you!!!! Holy cripes that’s funny. I love your list!!! Especially swellow and S’coffee….we’ll have to play scrabble sometime:)

Farting around with needle & thread and then blogging about it.
